I would like to add my two cents in about Jun and Tess Mamangun at Viviendo.
I know Jun and Tess and they have been tireless workers in promoting the
benefits and use of VCO. They deserve a great deal of credit for helping
promote VCO and for their willingness to share their technology with other
companies such as Cocovida's. They are truly a couple who have a vision to
help others--even their competitors! I think they have done more than anyone
else in promoting the coconut industry in the Phillippines. I've been to
Viviendo's coconut facility and have seen how they process the coconuts and
make VCO. It truly is a "cold processed" oil. Thank you Jun and Tess for all
your work!

Message from COCOVIDA
Hi Tess,
Thank you so much for your very kind comments. For those of you with an interest in VCO production. Jun and Tess Mamangun, and their team at Viviendo, are very much the pioneers of the cold-process (ANH Absolutely No Heat) production method. At the risk of making this a mutual admiration group, we are eternally
grateful for the help and assistance they have given us. They have helped make Cocovida what it is today, and I suppose that numerous companies across the Philippines have equal reason to thank Viviendo.
I wasn't sure this was the correct group to push the claims of the
ANH (Absolutely No Heat) production method, however now Tess has mentioned it, I will try and take it a little further. Cold-processed (ANH) virgin coconut oil, is oil produced without the
use of any heat. ( Not even a little heat, or a small amount of heat, or a minute amount of heat.) Producers using the cold-process ANH method believe that only unheated oil, in its natural state, is true virgin oil. Not everyone agrees with us, and that is perfectly okay, we have our view, they have theirs. There is now an ANH virgin coconut oil group of companies here in the Philippines. I think there are about 30 companies in the group, and we all strive to make the finest VCO in the world. I pinched this phrase from Tess's husband Jun, we make our oil with "patience, pride and passion". ( No apologies, he should have had it copyrighted.)
The companies that heat their oil do it to remove the moisture content. If anybody would like to look at the Cocovida website you will see the method advocated by Jun and Tess Mamangun. This is the method that we believe produces the finest VCO in the world. This is a strange time for you to be posting Tess. You usually have a few million other things to do.
Thanks and take care,
Mel
